What are the different courses available for skill development?
The government of India offers many skill training courses to Indian youth, like DDU-GKY, RPL, PMKVY. Ampersand Group is a leading partner for many of these projects across India.
What is the eligibility criteria to enrol in skill training programmes?
To enroll in short-term skill training courses like DDU-GKY, RPL and PMKVY, you must be an Indian youth from a rural area, aged 18-35 years of age, from a poor family, with a BPL card.
I have not finished high school. Can I enroll in this course?
Std 10 pass or Std 12 pass is not necessary. All candidates who hail from poor families, and are between the ages of 15 and 35 years, are eligible for the training programs. For women and other vulnerable groups like persons with disabilities, the upper age limit is relaxed to 45 years. For more details, please check the DDU-GKY website http://ddugky.gov.in/content/faqs

Who can apply for DDU-GKY?

What are the sectors that I can get trained, under DDU-GKY?
We currently offer short term skill training programmes for sectors of Healthcare, Automative, Retail, CRM (Non-voice) and Web development.
Is there a training fee?
These courses are free of charge.
Are these classes part time or full time?
These courses are full-time.
Will I receive a certificate on completion of the training? Who will be the accreditation authority?
Yes, every candidate who completes the course and clears the evaluation exam will receive a government-recognised certificate of training. The accreditation will be that of NSDC. For more details, please check the DDU-GKY website http://ddugky.gov.in/content/faqs
What would be the duration of the training?
Each course is of 3-6 months duration.
Is this a government course?
This is a government of India course and is implemented by partners like the Ampersand Group. Course content, syllabus, learning materials are as per government rules.
Is there a job guarantee after finishing this course?
After successfully completing the course, candidates receive placement. In case the candidate wishes to start his/ her own business in the same sector, assistance and guidance is provided.
