Skill Development for adults and Vocational Training

Vocationalisation of schools:

In order to enable employability of youth, we partner with the government to conduct Vocational Training under the Government of India’s NSQF programme. The vocational courses aim at giving students exposure towards possible career fields and are delivered through a mix of theory sessions, practical exposure, industry visits and interaction with industry veterans. This is also in line with the vision articulated by National Skill Development Corporation and mentioned under the NEP 2020.

We also run Mega Vocational Training Labs that offer detailed practical hands-on training and function as a finishing school or a refresher course in vocational training. This initiative aims to provide more in-depth skilling and practical exposure in vocational subjects like healthcare, retail, security under the Government of India’s Samagra Shikshya Abhiyaan and boosts a candidate’s prospects of job opportunities or further study in their chosen subject.

Target Audience:

For high school students in grades 9 to 12, in state-run schools.

Security, Healthcare, IT-ITeS, Media and Entertainment, Tourism, Beauty and Wellness, Apparel, Electronic Hardware, Telecom, Agriculture and Sports.

Community mobilisation through engagement with officials, influential community leaders, local elected representatives, door-to-door campaigns and vernacular advertisements.
Employment of Vocational Trainers via a thorough process of recruitment, accreditation and deployment.
Quality initiatives for trainers through call validation, self-assessment report, remote trainer monitoring system, surprise visits and online training delivery observation.
Special Counselling Sessions for Trainers and Parents.
Training delivery through theory sessions, practical exposure through model labs, industry visits and interaction with industry veterans.
End-of-the year assessments and certification (as per NSQF guidelines).
